Studio Roso have captured creative minds globally. The Royal College of Art alumni Sophie Nielsen and Rolf Knudsen began collaborating back in 2008 to create avant-garde, conceptual pieces that radiate the transitional nature of our environment.
With an impressive portfolio of commissions, including the V&A Christmas Tree, Palace Chandelier – Hampton Court Palace; Mirror Chandelier - Ames Hotel in Boston; Meme – Canada; Studio Roso’s work provoke stimulating feelings of fascination, enchantment, and playfulness.
During Clerkenwell Design Week Studio Roso will mark the European launch of their highly anticipated new sculptural lighting piece that promises to ‘radiate the ephemeral nature of our environment’.
Debuting his TedWood Furniture collection in his first solo exhibition is award-winning designer maker Ted Jefferis.
His collection continues the appreciation of the fundamental relationship between furniture and the surrounding interior.
Jefferis’ approach to furniture design begins with an appreciation of raw materials, exploiting the natural texture, while encouraging sustainability, permanency and narrative, creating a counterbalance to the throwaway culture of modern society.
As part of the exhibition visitors will be able to see Ted hand cutting, wet moulding and making his HangUp leather lamps, with the chance to buy and take home a lamp made by Ted in Clerkenwell during CDW.
Also showcasing during CDW is the creative collaboration between designer Christopher Jenner and Drummonds of London in a much anticipated furniture collection for the bathroom.
